One of my favorite things about living in Seattle is the accessibility of getting to the San Juan Islands, especially Orcas Island. This remote island of a couple thousand people is known for its environmental education camps for young people, small artisan farmers and crafters, and its pastoral country side.
A few weeks ago 12 of us loaded up and traversed the Puget Sound to end up in an amazing house on the North side of the island. We ate tons of food (my favorite being Danny's famous bone marrow potatoes), paddle boarded every day, swam, laid on the beach, played games, hiked around Mt. Constitution, and all in all had an incredible time.
Until next time.... #Orcasisalnd2013!
