Cronuts!

What's the best thing since PB&J? Seattle Met claims cronuts! The hype over these little morsels is described as, " a mix of the obsession of the royal baby, 'Blurred Lines', and a Macklemore video." Who would of thunk a cross breed of doughnuts and croissants would be so fabulous...

Flippers

Occasionally I take a peek at Redfin to keep a pulse on the housing market in Seattle. I recently ran across this lil' beauty with peeked curiosity. Don't get me wrong, I scroll through these pages with pure ease that is mere entertainment rather than utility, but when I saw this 4,029 square foot house that sold in 2011 for around $250K and is now on the market for $1.3M, I scoffed (maybe out of jealousy). Dang flippers!

Summer Shoes

Seattle Met recently came out with their Seattle Summer Shoe Guide. I have to agree with the majority of them, including these favorites:

Sandy!

We got to spend a whole week with my favorite mother-in-law, Sandy! Highlights included: Sandy's home cooking, green lake chillin', SUPing (and yes Sandy stood up!), bocce ball, and of course just catching up. We love you Sandy; come back to Seattle soon!

Orcas Orcas

One of my favorite things about living in Seattle is the accessibility of getting to the San Juan Islands, especially Orcas Island. This remote island of a couple thousand people is known for its environmental education camps for young people, small artisan farmers and crafters, and its pastoral country side.

A few weeks ago 12 of us loaded up and traversed the Puget Sound to end up in an amazing house on the North side of the island. We ate tons of food (my favorite being Danny's famous bone marrow potatoes), paddle boarded every day, swam, laid on the beach, played games, hiked around Mt. Constitution, and all in all had an incredible time.
Until next time.... #Orcasisalnd2013!
